The LS 1679 is a sealed linear-scale encoder with an integrated roller guide.  The encoder is available in standard lengths to 470 mm and up to 720 mm by special request. Resolution is 5 μm or 1 μm after fourfold evaluation. The units ship with a left or right cable exit for mechanical compatibility. The four ball-bearing guides track two steel rails integrated into the aluminum housing, protecting the bearing surfaces from dust and other contaminants.
